What shipping services do you offer?

We currently offer all shipping services available through UPS, and USPS. If there is another service that you are interested in using, please contact us, and we will see what we can do.

Why Can't I ship a machete overseas?
|
|

Due to stiffer export laws post 9/11, many of our weapons and law enforcement items are restricted from shipment overseas. To make things easier, we have further restricted the sale and shipment of these items to the United States only.

How can I measure my Lawn Mower Blade to ensure that I'm getting the right blade?

To measure your lawn mower blade, you measure diagonally from cutting edge to cutting edge.

How do you measure the center hole on a Lawnmower blade?
|

The most ACCURATE way to measure a lawn mower blade is to use a good caliper. Keep in mind that depending on the age of the blade this can sometimes be unreliable as well. Whenever possible, consult an owners Manual.

How do you measure a lawn mower belt?

Lawn Mower belts are measured by their diameter. To measure the diameter, you can either measure around the belt with a flexible tape measure, or you will need to cut the belt and measure the length. |

Star Patterns: How do I know what blade I need? |
|

Star Pattern Center holes on a blade can be confusing. Remember that
- John Deere sometimes uses a 7 point Star
- MTD and Cub Cadet use a 6 point Star
- AYP, Roper, Sears, some Husqvarna, Poulan, and Fridgidaire use a 5 point star.

How do I hang an American Flag?

When Hanging an American Flag, make sure that the start are always pointed to the top left corner. The following picture shows acceptable ways to hang the flag.

How do I order Dog tags?
|

We can do both G.I. and custom dog tags. There are two separate items. Make sure that you select the appropriate item (G.I. or custom) and then fill out the fields. When we receive your order we will process it.

How do I check my tire size?

If you look at the sidewall of the tire, you will find a series of numbers. these numbers are the size for the tire. See diagram for details.

What does surplus clothing mean?
|
|

Surplus means that we bought it in bulk. This could be a closeout sale, the rest of a company's inventory, or something else. These items are like new, but are limited in quantity. We normally cannot reorder a surplus item once we sell out.

What does seconds mean?
|
|
|
This means that there could be a slight flaw on the item, or that it is gently used. Glen's Surplus will not sell you poor quality items, we inspect our seconds to make sure that you are getting the quality that you should expect.
